While traveling in Mexico for 15 days, I decided to challenge myself to break further out of my comfort zone and go up to 50 strangers and ask them, "¿Puedo tomar tu fotografía?" (May I take your photograph). I wanted to document Mexico and those who live there for who they are and to show how beautiful and diverse it truly is. My goal was not to compose a scene or make sure they were "camera ready" but to get myself to speak in Spanish, which makes me anxious, just as being asked at random to have your picture taken would be. This was a fantastic opportunity, and I hope you enjoy this series I call Puedo of 50 strangers I photographed in Mexico.
